dreams

Dreaming is such a waste of time. In the morning, I'm not rested because I've gotten no down time. It takes me ages to fall asleep, then I dream horrific, vivid scenes, then I lie awake but tired for a couple hours. I don't get it! I want Lunesta. I've had several dreams of my clarinet downfall recently, and it scares me. Does it mean something higher? HA! If it does, then only because I think it does, probably.
Last night was a freaking marathon. First, I was with someone's family, maybe from church. We went to a swim meet in a van in Veteran's Park. I swam, but I dropped my sleep mask as soon as I jumped in the pool. Everyone had one. I think the two other girls dropped theirs too. I was almost done with the length when I decided to go back and get it. So did one other girl, my main competition. The third girl just sucked. Anyway, my competition was beating me by a lot, so I did a side stroke and beat her by a milisecond. The sleeping mask was really darn heavy. It was a fuzzy purple one. HMM we only have a THOUSAND of them at Justice. Then, the family and I walked back to the van, but it was parked on the opposite side of the park. So, that took forever and was full of hills and stumbling and other people getting in the way.
The my cat woke me up. It was 5:22.
When I fell back asleep, I woke up in the ocean, way in the middle. I had to swim to shore. A couple other people were there as well. But everyone was crazy, pretty much. Neil and I stuck together and swam with all out might. We came across a group of people in a triangle also swimming to shore, but then we realized they were just swimming in a circle. Like, a 3 foot radius circle. It was ridiculous. So we left them. Next we saw 2 huge bunches of balloons with a banner that said Happy Birthday. It was from a sunken pirate ship. Finally, there we a whole bunch of kitchen cupboards and someone said, "Look, signs of land from your planet." I'm not sure who said it, maybe Neil. It was weird because..it's your planet, too. Then we jumped over the sandbar, but there was no water on the other side, just a whole bunch of vacationers chilling out in the sunset. We stood up (not at all tired, really) and went onto the boardwalk/motel/diner. Then we found some other music majors that we swimming to shore. Odd how we all started off in the middle of the ocean, but made it to the same place on shore. I think everyone we passed in the ocean made it to land, as well. The place we landed reminded me of Sylvan Beach, a lake in upstate NY. Anyway, I called my mom or something and Neil and I went to my house. But then he was sitting on the chair in my living room with this girl from my summer camp, Geraldine. Except it wasn't Geraldine, it just looked like her. It was his ex... Am I messed up enough, yet? I was incredibly jealous and thought it was so rude of him to sit with her in my own house. Then my mom joined them on the chair and didn't understand why I was so miserable. I was getting food in the kitchen and sticking my tongue out at them through the pass-through window. That part seemed to last forever, where I was just jealous and Neil didn't care.
Then Lola woke me up again, but I was grateful. I had to remind myself for a long time that it was just a dream and that Geraldine and Neil don't know each other. hahaha! Thankfully I didn't dream anymore after that. Unfortunately, that also means that I just rolled around on my bed, tired and sad that it was 10 am. Stupid cats hog my bed....
I washed my hair and now it's soooo soft! Ok, this has taken 15 minutes, I've got to get back to practicing so my rehearsal with Sally will go well tonight.

Wed. March 22, 12:30, MB concert hall, be there or something.
